It was really good... I was confused when he heard them bumping on the box when they were digging... and it turned out he wasn't anywhere near there though.

Aside from that it was a great episode, best CSI I've seen in years.

Me and the wife also thought it was one of the best CSI episodes we have ever seen. And we have been watching since the series started. All I can say is wow.

Plus I am I HUGE fan of Quentin Tarantino, so it was win win. He also wrote the story, so he must be a fan of the series.

I think that was supposed to be the sound of the coffin breaking.

Just watched it. I was really impressed with Eads performance. He was very convincing. I've been a fan of the show from day one. Was psyched when I saw Tarantino wrote and directed as the opening credits rolled.

Nice cameo by Scott Wilson as Katherine's dad. He's one of my favorite character actors.

Just watched it. Not only was this one of the best CSI episodes... scratch that, I mean THE best one, it was probably also one of the best television shows that I have ever seen.

I think I'll watch it again right away and it's 3am! No matter how much I guessed along the way, I was always wrong and was thrown off. Tons of surprises and emotion. Acting was great and believable. Tarantino is a God. I wish he would do all the CSI episodes.

yeah Quentin was on Conan last week and said he was a huge fan of the show and while he was overseas filmin Kill Bill2, he fell in love with the show and has watched the show religiously for years now and had gotten to know the characters really well.

He came up with the idea for the episode from a TV movie he saw in the 70's or 80's i cant remember. Anyways, it was the same kind of idea. Man trapped in a box underground held for a ransom. Anyways, yeah, I really enjoyed the episode as well, I only watch it when someone at my place watches it, so im not gonna say its my fav show, that honor would go to The Shield and The Sopranos

It wasn't a cameo. Sam Braun is one of the side characters of the show and has been involved in a number of episodes.

His character is based largely on the real life casino magnate Benny Binion (now dead). There was actually an episode of CSI based entirely on the murder and trial of Benny Binion's son Ted. The trial was also documented in James McManus' "Positively Fifth Street".

Great episode btw. Really enjoyed it.
