LF: An inexpensive Jersey Box.
Let me know if you have one for sale that is in nice shape or know of a cheap place to buy them. Michael's was $200 when I was looking there the other day.
My son won Kipper's Jersey off his back last year at the Skills Competition and I would like to hang it on his wall in his room.

I went through this same thing last year. $200 is cheap, trust me! Just wait for a Michael's sale and you can get it 40% off

They usually retail anywhere from $250 for $400 for a higher quality one; the ones at Michaels are cheaper but they're pretty small IIRC (especially if you're trying to display a full goalie cut jersey).
If you're looking to save some $, what I would recommend is building one yourself. You can buy plexiglass at a place like Home Depot or Rona; use a lightweight MDF for the backing and primed mdf for the sides and front. Add a hinge on one side and a latch on the other side, some black paint, and voila, you've got a custom jersey case.
The one benefit is that you can make it as big as you want (just depends on what size plexiglass you buy). I built one a long time ago and it was about 38x42 and I believe it ended up costing about $75 to $100 in materials. A cheaper way to do it is to buy a poster frame from Michaels when they go on sale (about $15 to $20) and use that plexiglass for your frame. It's quite thin and I think the biggest size is 28x40 but it'll do the trick.

Doesn't michaels do the sign up for email list and get 40 percent off a single item? I remember using that trick last year to buy my wedding invites. 40 off drops the price quite a bit.
They actually have a 40 percent off one right now expires tonight

So I went to Michael's on Friday with a 40% off coupon but...
Turns out that it was already on sale and the cashier pulled out a 25% coupon for me. Total price with tax was $103. Not bad at all.
Thanks guys.

Question on the Michael's ones. How do they mount? Is it a normal picture hanger/wire? Or is it screws on each side to mount them flush? I'm interested in getting a couple but I have to mount it on an outside wall, so don't want to drill a bunch of holes.

It is more like the ones you leave screw heads sticking out a bit that the brackets slide onto and then down to lock.
The current Flyer has them at 50% off so they would be around $110 plus tax.

In case anybody else is still looking, London Drugs is selling a jersey frame for $149.99 until Boxing Day, when they will probably go on sale for less.

Does anyone know were you can get the ones that open from the front? Display your jersey and wear it as well.

The london drugs one posted is a front open style. Not sure about the one from michaels.
Rivercitysports also has a model that opens from the front.

it isnt a front-open type, but Eastridge Hobbies in Riverbend sells ones that have a sheet of plexiglass which slides in from the top for easy removal. They're about $85 or so.
