Three teens from Chilliwack, B.C., have been posing as young girls online, luring men to clandestine meetings, and confronting the alleged predators while wearing superhero suits.
But now the Mounties have stepped in, opening an investigation into the teens’ campaign and warning of the dangers of vigilante justice.

The story I read was they pulled all these videos from YouTube. Surprised this one is still up. They should leave this to the police, they could end up getting hurt.

I haven't listened to the audio in the video because I'm at work, but looking at the captions, it appears they didn't have positive identification that was the right guy?
Like the premise, but posting a video about a guy on the web assumed to be the predator that they were talking to is just wrong.
(with my luck, he probably implicates himself in the audio right?)

They asked If his name was Peter and he answered yes. That's about all he gave them. He wanted to see their badges but of course they could not come up with one.
There was a story at least a year ago of a guy in Seattle doing roughly the same thing. Phoenix Jones....awesome name! He wasn't using the same premise, but he was out on the streets fighting crime.

He's still doing it. He was recently arrested for being involved in some sort of brawl at a club (in costume, of course). Honestly, whether they believe they have the right intentions or not, people running around in costumes trying to stop crime is a really, really bad idea.

I also remember a story not too long ago where the guys met the creeps in a field and it got aggressive more than once however the people hiding and filming were able to step in and back up the decoy.
Always thought this decoy thing would be fun. While I wouldnt be able to arrest the guy you could have him on camera which should be enough to prevent at least some of them from repeating their actions.
**while i said it would be fun, that's as far as it would go.
