Yikes, that would drive me bonkers indeed.
Makes me think how much the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge would have enjoyed staying at that remote lodge when they were here.

There would be a mobile first aid unit following me for all the injured paparazzi after a few weeks...

When it comes to talented people trying to live a normal life, then yes. When it comes to cam-whores trying to live a normal life, then no. Can't have it both ways.

If I were famous enough to have paparazzi I would be rich probably. With that money I would buy a personal assistant and never have to go to the mall again. Win/win.

Paparazzi comes with the territory of being famous and everyone who gets into that line of work knows the deal from the get go. Don't wanna be terrorized by these idiots, don't become a celebrity.
Yes, there are exceptions and I feel bad for those who are unwillingly thrust into the spotlight, but those cases are pretty rare.

I now know exactly how it feels after being a tourist in India. Dozens of photo requests every day. At one of the wonders of the world, the Taj Mahal, people were posing for photos in front of our group instead of the Taj. Some people even stalk you around.

"I want to be rich AND famous!!!"
Those two things have gone together since the dawn of time.
The Nick & Nora Charles "Thin Man" movies played on it in the 1930's as a matter of fact.
Everyone wants to be rich. That's a given.
It's the famous part that's open for a lot of debate . . . . . and there are probably some who've become famous who'd love to stuff that genie back in its bottle.
And there are a good many who can't be rich without being famous, as though that's the price.
Being rich and anonymous is the way to go . . . . unless you're an egomaniac publicity whore and its part of your whole psyche. Like Donald Trump.

I personally don't understand when people started to care so much about the day to day lives of every single celebrity on the planet. Even celebrities you have never heard of have paparazzi and TMZ morons following them around. Sorry, but I don't really give a crap that Greg from the Brady Bunch is out walking his dog, or that Danny Bonaduce (had to look that one up) is taking his mom to the doctor.
It's mostly an American phenomenon, but it seems to have followed it's way to Canada, the UK, and elsewhere. There used to be only a few shows dedicated to this drek, now there are probably more entertainment networks than those that show real news. It's sad really that society has devolved to this.

I'd probably become a total troll. I'd do stuff solely to screw with the likes of TMZ.

I value my privacy, so I'm pretty sure that I wouldn't be able to handle folks following me around constantly either hoping for or snapping pictures. I'll just take the 'rich' part, please.

There are plenty of actors that manage to live a normal life who hardly ever turn up on TMZ and the like, it seems to help if you are not a coke snorting wack job.

I'd stop worrying and actually be nice to them, and talk to them. I wouldn't be angry or stressed all the time then. I mean if you are famous you are going to get your pictures taken by everyone whether you like it or not, so make it a part of your life and turn into a positive.
And as the above poster said, if you're not doing stupid things then you don't have to worry about a horrible picture turning up on the internet.

No you wouldn't, all of that would be readily available, and even acquired for you, so long as you were paying the tabs for everyone.
Then, once you're broke with a soul hollower than your coked out nasal passage, you can hop on a superhero movie gravy train and sail off into the sunset doing endless sequels of big summer blockbusters.
Not so bad, really.
