ok so there's this one popular country song that I've heard played everywhere (most notably country bars like Cowboys in Calgary or Cook County in Edmonton) and I can't seem to figure out what it is.

Anyone want to give me a quick list of the most popular country songs played at country clubs?

Fishin in the Dark - Nitty Gritty Dirt Band
Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy) - Big & Rich

These are ones that come instantly to mind. At Cowboys much more are played but I am hardly a country music buff.

Nah, real country music is pretty good. I can listen to Hank3, Johnny Cash, Dwight Yokum, Corb Lund until the cows come home.

Country music is great.

Unfortunately it is a little difficult to list every country song, so if you could perhaps give us a hint we might be able to figure it out.

This is great stuff coming from you, the guy who gets offended when someone makes fun of the music he likes.

Blows chucks? Nice to know a 12 year old is watching the Flames draft so effectively.

Most new country hits are simply pop music veiled as country.

Unforunatly, I can't. Not sure why, but for some reason, I want to find this song... even if I don't remember what it is. I seemingly remember it being somewhat Garth / George Strait, but other then that... all I can remember it was pretty upbeat and popular, and I've heard it a couple times at Cook County in Edmonton, and a few times in random country bars in Westlock and Wetaskawin.

I guess if I'm the one asking for help, I should be a little clearer.

I'd just like to take this opportunity to say that Toby Keith is a no-talent hack. He can sure wave flag though.

I think Toby Keith is decently talented. He's one of the only country singers who writes his own songs.

He does probably p*ss a lot of lefty's off though.

I don't really understand why you would think I was 12 based on that comment. Do you think everybody who hates country music is 12?

As for me being offended, you'll have to remind me because I don't recall getting worked up about that.

But obviously I've hit a nerve with my anti-Country crapusic stance with you feeling the need to insult me in response.

God bless you FDW.

The 12 year old comment was aimed at your fantastic summery of Country music by saying it "blows chunks"

So you assume everybody who uses the term "blows chunks" is 12 years old? Weird.

Hey, I just call it as I hear it. Country music is the most worthless genre of music out there as far as I'm concerned. Substitute whatever negative phrase you need since you can't seem to get over the "blows chunks" comment.
