Question answered; Sedin shipped out

Two games in and the Sedin era is officially over in Pittsburgh. After dropping an 2-1 OT game against the Caps the Pens sent Sedin to the Devils in exchange for Jamie Benn, Mattias Tedenby and a 2013 1st. Quickly ending what was thought to be a long relationship when the Sedins both signed 3 year max deals with the Pens on July 1st.

We wanted to give Daniel a chance to fit in, but it was evident that he wasnt a match for this team. It is hard giving up the reignig NHL MVP and scoring champ, but we liked the young pieces coming over and felt it was time to part ways with Daniel. Thanks to Steve for the good talks. Watch for Daniel to explode in Jersey.

The opportunity to add a player of Daniel Sedin's calibre was too much to pass up. Losing Benn was a bit tough but we add about 10 OV to our first line LW position. Thanks Jeff for the talks!
