Preds open up with a win over the sorry St. Louis Blues. The PP went 3/4 and that was basically enough. Dave Steckel was 18/19 in the dot as well which doesn't hurt!

We lost Ponikarovsky for a week with an ankle sprain, so we'll adjust lines for the next one.

Outshot them 45-29 including 23 SOG in the third period alone but come away with a shootout loss. I like the way the team played so we'll take the point and move on.

Flyers and Pens both off to a great start, should be a great race.

Sens win their season opener 4-3 in a shootout over the Caps. Staal and Ladd were good for the Sens, Brooks Laich had 2 goals for Washington. Both goalies were very good tonight.

Good start to the season, especially since I didnt win a game during the pre-season.

Roloson plays unbelievable and we steal two points from a strong team after being outshot. Benoit Pouliot was injured with a lower body injury but he should be ready to go next game.

Rough debut, outshot the Rangers, but Rask wasn't up for the challenge, and we were shooting blanks. Also lost 4th line C/PKer Rickard Wallin to a minor injury
