Turns out Sly Stone is broke, homeless and living in a small motor home on the streets of Crenshaw in LA. His addiction issues make this no great suprise but it is still tragic that a guy who really was a genius ends up this way, so for Sly and all you kids to young to know where the funk comes from one of my favourites

Switchfoot had me until I found out that they are a essentially a Christian band.
Listen to the last 4-5 songs of Vice Verses and they will have you regardless, I believe. Really strong album. Indie Switchfoot = >>>>> record label Switchfoot.
