Default Star Wars the Complete Saga on Blu-Ray

Just announced at CES:

http://starwars.com/video/view/001175.html

http://starwars.com/themovies/saga/p...ray/index.html

EDIT: Dang, 3 extra disks of extras if you buy the saga sets rather than the trilogies separately.

I only have Episode 1, 2 and 3 on VHS...guess now would be a good time to upgrade.

EDIT:
Quote:
Three Star Wars Blu-ray sets will be available come September: the complete saga—a nine disc set with all six movies—for $140, and a three disc set of either trilogy for $70. If you're a newcomer, I'd strongly advise against just buying the prequels.
The big set comes with over 30 hours of special features, including never-before-seen deleted scenes, alternate takes, a look into the Star Wars archive, and more. You can reserve your piece of galactic history today over at Amazon. Update: Amazon's got the pre-orders for cheap: $90 for the Complete Saga; $45 for the trilogies. Yes!

Wizard!

But I'll probably buy the Robot Chicken episodes first.

Very curious as to how much they charge.

If they take Episode 1 out of the package, I might pay more.

Star Wars: The Complete Saga on Blu-ray will be available for $139.99 US/$179.99 CAN and the Star Wars: Trilogy Sets for $69.99 US/89.99 CAN. Pricing for each set will vary by international territory.
I'm shocked that the price difference for Canada is still so huge...better take advantage of that Amazon preorder sale!

Will this be simply the CG-added, Greedo shot first version, or will it have the original theatrical version as well?

Even with the shipping charges it looks like ordering from the US will be far cheaper. Amazon.ca = $125.99 pre-order special. Amazon.com = $89.99. It's not like the dollar hasn't been near or above parity for the last year or anything.

It's on TV enough these days that I don't need to buy them. My kids can watch the DVDs if they really want to watch them.

From what I have read we will never see the original versions released for sale. Moneybags has been quoted as saying the remastered are now the only copies available.

I would buy it if it included both versions.

I wonder if they include all the awkward behind the scenes footage from the making of episode 1? Particularily the first screening where everyone looks as distraught after seeing the final product.

I'm a total Star Wars whore and will re-buy the whole saga on Blu-ray including the extra hours of special features I will never watch.

I really hope that the footage in the trailer is not representative of the Blu-Ray. The colors are still completely screwed up.
