Default Ipad return policy?

now that costco doesnt sell Ipad's anymore, does any retailer offer a better then 14 day return policy?

i am going to China in a few days and a colleague asked me to buy an ipad and bring it. if for whatever reason it doesnt work over there or he changes his mind, I dont want to be stuck with it

Go to the Apple Store and ask them if there are any differences in the models. If you're only getting WiFi, I can't imagine it working, and I'm fairly sure the 3G model would too. Apple has a good return policy.

You could always get the apple care (extended warranty). Or test it out before you take it over.

If you're worried about him changing his mind, I'd get him to send you the cash first. It's not like you're picking him up a $5 pair of socks.

It's a popular enough product that you shouldn't have any issue selling it if there is some dissatisfaction.

Why wouldn't WiFI work?

I hear China has some "Apple Stores" that would be more than happy to take your return, I am sure.

(referencing of course the forged stores)

i'd say this would be the co-workers issue - you are doing him a favour.

Doesn't Apple charge a restocking fee on most opened merchandise?

Not within 14 days, it is a full refund, even on opened merchandise. I returned an iPad 1 13 days after I bought it because the iPad 2 was announced
