Sens ship out another veteran

Ottawa-GM Walsh made his second deal of the day just minutes ago. This time veteran winger Chris Clark is off to the Edmonton for Denis Grebeshkov.

Plain and simple a contract dump for the Sens. Grebeshkov will serve as the #7 defenseman. Sens will save 1.6 mill in the deal.

Pretty quick deal, total of 4 PM's (would have been quicker if stupid shaw didn't have an outage most of last night and this morning). I had some cap room to work with and needed a 3rd line winger to help fill out the roster. Clark is probably a little overpaid but we have the cap room and he fits in nicely.

Grebeshkov was a bottom pairing defenseman and we had 8 defenseman on the NHL roster so he was easy to move.

While I've been a GM, I think I've already seen more activity since Mike took over than there was under the previous regime.
