Who's with me?
Just finished some leftovers from my birthday dinner at a local cajun joint. I think it was actually better 2 days old and reheated! Is there a better style of food in the world?
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM MM!

I think displaced has been partaking in some cajun liquor.
I assume the only cajun we get up here is the Earl's type faux fancy dishes like 'cajun chicken veggie wrap' or some other cheap knockoff. From what I have had here it is bla, I imagine it is better done in your yonder.

I can't remember what it's called but down by the Cecil there is a restaurant called something like "Joe's Crab Shack" (that's not it though) and they serve Cajun food. I've only been there once and I had the jumbalaya and it was good stuff. Maybe not authentically Cajun or maybe it is but it was pretty spicy.

What a sad state of affairs this lockout has caused as we are now left to respond to threads about cajun food in the main area of traffic for the Flames.

I really thought I was on the OT forum when I posted this. I've been wondering where my cajun food post went. Fancy meeting it here.
And it gets moved while I'm in the process of posting this. What a buffoon I am.

So is the place here in Wichita Capt.....and it's still yummy.
I was introduced to cajun food by a friend of my Dad's when I was a teenager. He was a real coon ass (that's what cajun's call themselves, no idea why) from Beaumont, Texas by the name of Belanger. We were elk hunting one winter and he made a gigantic pot of shrimp gumbo and a boatload of boudin. I've never eaten so much in my life. Just awesome.

I love cajun blackened fish and chicken. And it's got to be spicy as shat too, none of that wattered down whitey stuff.
