LF: Senior Organizational Effectiveness Specialist (Mississauga)
JOB OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Director, Organizational Effectiveness, the successful incumbent will be contributing to a dynamic organizational effectiveness and change team by providing organizational effectiveness expertise, coaching and hands-on support to the business through partnership with leaders and Human Resource business partners.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES- Lead and/or act as a resource to leaders and Human Resources professionals on approaches and interventions to address organizational, team or individual challenges in the workplace and to improve employee engagement and overall business performance (e.g. organizational design and assessment; change management; team development; group processes and facilitation; conflict resolution; identifying opportunities for improved communication or collaboration; leadership coaching)
- Work closely with leadership teams to provide proactive and strategic support and coaching on operational excellence, organizational effectiveness and employee engagement and productivity
- Lead projects as required to develop Suncor processes and supporting systems which support improved organizational effectiveness (i.e. change framework and processes)
- Support capability development of Human Resources business partners through effective coaching in the implementation and execution of organizational effectiveness processes
- Source and coach external providers of Organizational Effectiveness services
- Collaborate and integrate with senior Human Resources, Organizational Effectiveness, Communications and Governance groups
- Partner with other Human Resources professionals and leaders in the diagnosis of organizational issues, the provision of practical, actionable solutions and the most effective way to proceed with implementation
- Collaborate with Suncor Governance functions and Human Resources groups in other business units
- Advise on complex people-related issues requires strong judgment skills, understanding of the business needs and knowledge of human behavior, as well as continually dealing with unique situations
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:- Minimum of eight to ten years of professional Human Resources experience, including at least five years in an Organizational Development role
- Bachelor degree in Organization Development, Human Resources or Business
- Master's degree in Business or Organization Development is considered an asset
Skills and Knowledge:- Strong consulting skills, including a demonstrated ability to contract with clients and design appropriate organizational interventions based on sound diagnosis and assessment, solid Organizational Effectiveness theory and practice, and alignment with business priorities
- Strong business acumen skills; experience in a corporate environment preferred
- Demonstrated ability to effectively support leadership teams in change management, team development and effectiveness, conflict resolution, and problem solving
- Strong facilitation skills and ability to support effective group dynamics
- Self-directed, able to identify, create and action multiple individual, departmental and organizational improvements and projects while working in a collaborative and consultative manner
- Ability to provide effective leadership and positively influence, partner with and coach others
- Top strengths/skills must be planning, organization, time management and problem solving
- Demonstrated ability to communicate within all levels of an organization matched with strong verbal, written, presentation, one-on-one communication skills
- Certification in Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and/or other related tools are considered an asset
WORKING CONDITIONS- This position supports our Exploration and Production business unit as well as our Refining and Marketing business unit
- This job is based in Mississauga and will require regular travel to Calgary
- Occasional travel may be required to our refinery locations in Sarnia, Montreal, Edmonton and Denver, and to the East Coast
