Default Hot Tub Recommendations

A search of CP yielded no results, so thought I'd call upon CP members...

Any recommendations on where & what to buy in terms of hot tubs?

Any thoughts, expereiences & comments appreciated.

Many thanks,
-Chris

Get one that runs on Chernobly and needs Fletch to fix it.

This is not first hand information but just what I heard/learned while I was looking (have not yet purchased).

I am fairly certain that I will buy an Arctic Spa. It is built for the weather and seems to affect your energy bill the least (from ratings, reviews, and message boards).

If it is an outdoor tub insulation is key unless you want to be shelling out cash hand over fist.

My folks have an artic spa, the only issue in 10 years has been the cover got water in the foam which made it heavy.

We've had a Dynasty Spa for about a year and a half now and it's been great. It's an Excalibur series Lancelot 3000. The main thing is to drain and fill that thing twice a year (spring and fall) depending how often it gets used.

I buy my chemicals from hot tub essentials, they have a Canadian site and their prices are pretty good. I'd say I pay $50 a year for chemicals. Really depends on the usage though.

You never know what kind of spontaneous hot tub party can happen

Good luck!

I love my hot springs spa ...its a classic model one of the first they made over 10 years ago. I have personally been able to do any and all maintenance to it and there is one thing that stands out to me over every other hot tub ive been in....the heater went in it 2 years ago during the winter and I had zero time to deal with it. In 4 days under no power the water temp dropped from 108 down to 96 and baby it was cold out that week ....I was able to put the new heater element in and was back hot tubbing within minutes....oh and I love my ozoneator
