Default Long Shot, Looking For A Baseball Jersey in Boston but...

not the Red Sox, where can I find a Texas Rangers jersey in Boston/New England?

A trip I was casually toying with the idea of (going to Fenway for the 3-Game set against the Texas Rangers over Labour Day weekend) has come to fruition.

However, being a Rangers fan on the East Coast of Canada means no opportunity to buy any Rangers merchandise with the exception of a hat.

Is there anywhere that anyone knows about that would carry Rangers jerseys between Nova Scotia and Massachusetts?

That's what I'm hoping although I didn't see anything on the Red Sox team store. If I can find something online where I can pick it up there I'll buy it in a heart beat.

If I had have known previously I would have bought it earlier. That said I didn't think this trip would come to be, so it wasn't much of a concern.

Alas shipping is my problem, not leaving the wearhouse for 5-7 days doesn't help me for this weekend.

I won't cry myself to sleep if I can't get it, I'm ecstatic that I'm going, that in and of itself is enough for me. Having the team jersey is a bonus.

Possibly...or you could just beat somebody up just wear a canucks shirt underneath and the cops will understand.

I've never seen the jersey of the opposition for sale in another baseball team's stadium. I wish I knew someone in Boston to ask them. I don't know what the Jersey City equivalent in New England is.

Try Modells - I believe they have a number of stores in Boston

Don't bother trying to calling and asking the Red Sox store or any sports store in Boston, that would be too easy. I'd suggest waiting it out here on CP; Calgary Flames fans are also experts on the retail outlets located on the Maritime/Boston drive

Highly unlikely. I've never seen anything for a visiting team at an MLB stadium or any of the local shops that surround them.

Modell's might have something, but I doubt it. NYC Modell's only have Yankees and Mets jerseys/shirts. A hat would be easy to come by at a Lids. You might get lucky if you hit a Marshall's or like discount store, I found a bunch of Bills gear in one in the Boston area once, although it was largely Pats and Red Sox so it would be quite the lucky break.

There is a sports store on Newbury street, I can't remember the name but they had a bunch of MLB, NHL NBA and NFL stuff. I can't remember the name unfortunately but it was across the street from Johnny Cupakes.

What part of LONG SHOT did you not understand?

I figured that since CP is a great source of knowledge in general that people might be able to help point me in the right direction.

As a matter of fact, posters are giving me a hand. This thread really is no different from the "What is there to do in Las Vegas/Montréal/Boston/New York" threads. Why ask people in Calgary about other cities?

If the board was limited to Calgary Flames topics the OFF TOPIC section wouldn't exist.

So if you don't have anything positive to contribute, why not just not read this thread at all? I believe the responses of corporatejay, valo40, troutman, socalwingfan, and sec304 have proven the point that this CP prove that your asinine comment is not only unwarranted but ask this very question here is productive and helpful. I'd like to thank them each for that.

Boston's a fairly large city where I'll have to call internationally to ask about the stock stores carry. Wouldn't it be more prudent to try and narrow down my search before making such calls? Which, for the record, is exactly what I'm doing.

MQS, a quick google and I found the store. Not sure if they have jerseys but a quick phone call can probably do the trick. at a minimum they could probably point you in the right direction of a place that might carry them (and they have a toll free number to boot).
