Possibly a stupid suggestion, but if the tie is wrinkled in the area in which is going to get tied again, does it matter?

Or can you possibly use really low heat with an iron?

You can iron it, just don't let the iron actually touch the tie. Have it on the lowest steam setting and hover the iron about an inch over the wrinkle and let the iron steam it out. Seriously, DO NOT LET THE IRON TOUCH THE TIE.

Roll up the tie or hang it in the bathroom when you shower. Just make sure that no water gets on the tie. Moisture bad.

You can also steam iron it with a thick towel on top. This works for a lot of silks and delicate materials.

Ok, well then go heat up the iron Brenda.

I use it all the time on everything. It's distilled water and fabric softener so it shouldn't leave spots. You can test it first but I spray it on everything. Ironing sucks.

just hang it on the towel rack and take a hot shower. Should be fine after that.

i have used water on a tie in the past. when the tie is still wet, you lay it on a towel, roll it up and place it in the freezer to dry for a couple of days.

if it was an expensive tie that you really like, you may want to consider the dry cleaner

My mom told me that if you put a piece of 100% silk fabric (like a woman's scarf) over top your clothes/tie/whatever when ironing, it won't burn. And silk is very good in transferring the heat.
