Default Anyone in the GTA feel the ground shake just now?

Not sure how many are in the GTA on here, but if you are, did you just feel the ground shake? I swear there was an earthquake just now.

Man..... I want to feel an earthquake.

Saying that, I hope everyone is ok and the damage minimal.

It wasn't much. Just shook my chair and the table some. Like being in an old house during an especially strong wind or something. I think it originated in Virginia. News of a 5.8 quake there.

Whoa, cool
Felt like I was on a cruiseship where I am in Toronto.
Very minor, but definitely a weird sensation

Virginia got hit with a 5.8 apparently. In North York my mom felt it, but here in Markham I didn't feel anything at all and neither did the people working on my house.

Really, where are you at in Markham? I'm in Thornhill right now, John and Bayview, so right next door. It wasn't really powerful, so you might have just not noticed. I'm in a multi-story building, so that might have made it feel worse.

If you felt it you can register it on the USGS website.

I'm 20 stories up and my office is split between those who felt it and those who didn't. I didn't feel anything but my secretary just started to shut up about how she felt it. I feel a bit gyped actually.
