Default Where to buy boxes

My moving company has them, of course, but they are closed on the weekend and not open late enough for me to make it on a weekday.

Any suggestions for where to get boxes? Googling it is a bit tough because there's lots of iffy looking hits. I just need a place that's open on the weekend so I can get a head start on packing next week. U-Haul sells boxes, are they any good?

I tried cruising down to the box district over on 3rd, but I guess it's not what it used to be.

If you don't mind smaller boxes, you can ask most liquor stores for some.

I'm at the "need legitimate boxes" stage We're down to the big stuff, the heavy stuff, and the don't-wanna-mangle it stuff.

U haul boxes are great but pricey. Hit up grocery stores early in the morning. You can get lucky sometimes. Or ask them to save them for you Produce apple boxes are the best for moving.

Try Dollorama as well. They got a ton of boxes, and usually don't mind giving them away if you ask at the right time.

Storage places usually have boxes too, the one on Heritage and Blackfoot does anyway.

A second recomendation for instabox or another option might be Shipper Supply.

http://www.shipperssupply.com/store-ab.aspx

When i did shipping and recieving for my summer jobs, these are who we would often use (albeit that was many years ago).

The big national shoe stores usually get a lot of boxes in once a week. Find out what day and you should be set. They are usually bigger sized.

Grand & Toy always had the best boxes whenever I needed to pick some up.

Home Depot is where I would buy moving boxes. Not as good quality as UHaul but 1/2 the price and honestly after the move most people will just garbage the box anyway instead of keeping it.

But wow, I am really impressed at that instabox website. And to see its not just a Canadian company, but an Albertan company - wow very impressive.

That website has been saved to my favs folder for future use later on.

U-Haul Box Exchange:

In an effort to reduce waste, U-Haul helps its customers sell, give away, or find boxes and moving supplies.

You know, there's a little place called Mary Ann's Boxes. The nice thing about that place is Mary Ann gets in the box with you.
