Default Found a girls Mountain Bike Haysboro / Southwood area.

Massive shot in the dark, but I will try none the less:

Copy and paste from my Kijiji ad:

http://calgary.kijiji.ca/c-community...AdIdZ304886341

Somewhere out there, there is a disappointed little girl without a set of wheels. As an avid cyclist who lost a bike to a spineless crook when I was a kid, I know how much this sucks. I am sure the owners would greatly appreciate it's safe return.

I found the bike stranded against the guardrail on the corner of Southland Dr. and Haddon Rd. Across from the LRT station. This is not a run of the mill, cheapie Walmart bike, so if your bike is from a big dept store, this is not it, so please, do not message me about it.

If you feel this is your bike, please describe the brand, model, and obvious distinctness of the bike. You should also be able to provide a serial # as this is a bike shop bike, and it would have been provided on your invoice.

No scammers please, this is a kids bike, and shame on you for even thinking of trying to steal it again, from me.

edit: Tried the local Norco dealers, nobody could trace the serial #. Due to the general sickness of society, I opted to drop the bike at the police station. There must be something fundamenatally wrong with me that I do no find child rape, and murder jokes funny. Like really, what's FUNNIER!?

If it's a shop bike maybe call a couple of the higher end retailers in the south and see if they have records?

But what happened to the Dufresnes? Not only are they missing; their daughter is missing her bike?

Good job. I got one brand new bike when I was a kid, it was stolen in about a week.

My 2000 dollar bike was stolen out of my garage when I was a kid and it ended up in a dumpster by southland rd from riverbend. Local kid found it and started showing it off at school where a mutual acquaintance saw it was mine and notified me and we ended up getting it back! Happiest day of my life I am glad you are trying to help this girl out! If it is a fancy bike maybe they frequent pinkbike.com and post it on there

Can you please share some sketchy emails you receive from Kijiji users?

Not gonna lie, I was really tempted to mess with you but I decided since you're doing a nice thing, I shouldn't waste your time.

To be quite honest, trying to do a good thing here, has really ruined my f'ng day. I have had a few people email me some sick, disgusting pedophile jokes, and of course, our local class act Fotze had to be the first to chime in with one.

I get you can't be super sensitive on the net to that kind of stuff, and I just bite my lip when people start throwing child abuse jokes around... some people find raping children funny. However, I thought a thread like this may, just may have been a safe haven from that kind of thing.

What a lot of people fail to comprehend, is you do not know who may have been a victim at some point in their life of that sort of thing.....and to those of us that have been, it is anything but comedy material. And to start a thread, that caused these jokes, well, I guess there is some sort of masocistic irony there. I suppose I underestimated the maturity of some of the users on this site.

I appologize for my part in following through on Madman's joke. While I was trying to keep that part of the joke alive, I was also trying to keep this thread near the top as I did think it was noble effort on your part.

Some where 15 years or so ago there was a thread like this about a found canoe in the middle of a lake. I wonder if they used the same adjectives to describe the thief.
