WEEK 6: Hamilton Tiger Cats at STAMPEDERS
Good win for the Stamps last week against the Riders. Defense played very well vs Darian Durant and the gang. One of the TD pass by Durant was just a lucky TD catch for Dressler. Brandon Isaac beat Dressler on that play but he just so cocky trying to catch the ball with one hand instead of two hands. Offense is still not in sync yet but they are improving. I can see defense going after Kevin Glenn all night now that Hamilton does not have Arland Bruce to throw to.
OFFENSE:
After 5 games, Burris and Bryant are starting to pick up what they left off from last season. Nik Lewis is always there whenever he's needed. Ken-Yon Rambo on the other hand is still struggling. I am not sure if he's because been hurt this early in the season so far. Rambo, by the way will be sitting out this game due to hamstring injury. Landan Talley, who replaced Rambo a few games back against BC Lions will be back in the lineup. Talley played so well against BC Lions unfortunately had to sit out the next game when Rambo came back the next game. With Talley in the lineup, he could be threat in both offense and special team return.
Burris had more success when he started running the ball. That keeps the defense thinking a little bit as they know Burris can run the ball, hand it to Reynolds/Cornish and throw the ball. Henry Burris is 4th in the league in passing yards and leads all QB in rushing yards. Unfortunately, we cannot say the same thing to Joffrey Reynolds because he rushing attempts went down big time. Not sure if Dickerson just loves throwing the ball more or the running game is just way out of the picture. Some people thinks because the Stamps are usually down in the first half.
DEFENSE:
MLB Robert McCune and DLine Charleston Hughes was a beast against the Riders. DBs Greg Fassit, Geoff Tisdale, LB/DB Brandon Isaac also played well last game. Durant kind of shied away from Brandon Smith all night. McCune had one of the QB sack last game and was a force. Calgary is 4th in the league in QB sack with 8 and Charleston Hughes leads the team with 3 sacks. Brandon Smith on the other hand leads the Stamps with 17 tackles. MLB Juwan Simpson been practicing lately so he might be back tomorrow's game.
SPECIAL TEAMS:
With Landan Talley in the lineup, we have a double threat returner. Lately, punter/kicker tried to avoid kicking the ball to Larry Taylor and try kicking it towards the other guy. It might not be an easy to TiCats punter/kicker on this game because both Talley and Taylor can have a good game in special team return.
GO STAMPS GO!!!

I think it has to do with the O-line not being able to run-block as well this season. A lot of new bodies, steep learning curve. That said they have been getting better each game, which could be a good sign heading into the fall.

Nice play by Burris to turn that situation into a first down.

That is some of the worst tackling I've seen all season.

Not many CFLers can hit from 50+ yards like that. With room to spare.

Too bad they can't add a penalty on reviews, because there's a pretty obvious facemask on that one.
