Hoping someone can help me with a place to go, either just outside the city or close by.

Looking for some trails to go with my dogs. Bought some dog pulling gear and need to get them out for some trail runs/pulls/bikjoring/skijoring/sledding. Will probably try out Nosehill over the winter - but sometimes it gets to crowded . . .

Anyone done any sledding/bikjoring/skijoring?

Would the canal pathway to Chestermere work for this? Its pretty dead at the best of times and I don't think they sweep it during the winter.

My only concern would be the canal as I don't want a mishap/mistake to turn into a winter swimming measure.

I'm thinking more and more I shouldn't live where I do and instead should live on a Ranch in Springbank or Barespaw.
