Why did you choose your screen name/what does it mean?
Got me thinking about this in the Twins Posters thread (where the title is very misleading). A lot are obvious, especially the Flames related ones. But there's quite a few on here that I have no idea what they mean or why they were chosen. Would be interesting to hear.
I'll start: my first ever MB was on the cbssports.com NFL (and later NHL) boards. Wanted something Saints related, but "Saints" was taken, as was "Saints7" (my old sports jersey #). Back then I sometimes used to call the Saints "my Sainters" (which surprisingly was also taken), so I went with Sainters7. Just got used to it, been using it ever since.
EDIT: My bad, see this is a FATA. Figured as much, but when I searched for it nothing came up. I see the newest one is from '08 though, we've had a lot of new regular posters since then, many with names that need some 'splainin.
Started using "First Lady" almost 10 years ago; when I was the first female in Alberta to be an off-road trail guide for Daimler Chrysler's Jeep Jamborees.
I think there was a thread about this many years ago, but anyhow here's the story. Back in the 7 year drought stage I happened to be a marketing major in University, one day I was trying to think of catchy slogans to use to bring people back into the Flames fold. Return to the Red was one that I happened to think of the day I signed up.
Pretty sure there's been several threads like this, but oh well I guess I'll retell the story..
Figured as much, searched for it after reading the Twin Posters thread, didn't find anything. Which is weird, considering how on topic most people's tags are haha
Even if there was, this place's membership has ballooned the past 3-4 years, seems many of the most prominent posters have 08-09 & beyond join dates. Many with screen handles that require some 'splainin.
I read somewhere Cobain named the song Sliver just to ###### with people that would read it as Silver. Turns out he was right - people call me Silver on here half the time and the correct Sliver the other half.
I'm in my 5th (?) variation of my name, kept this one since 2003. At the time, Denis Gauthier was my fav player because the only thing exciting at that time (~1999-2001) was his hip check's. Then Dion Phaneuf was drafted.
I really want to change my name now. I'm pretty bitter about that Phaneuf trade.

My first post ever explains it all. Also my first thread. Within days of this, the mods implemented a rule that doesn't allow newbs to create threads lol.
it's funny to look back at old threads and see all the "Lifetime Ban" under usernames
Also see a lot of unbanned regulars who just don't seem to post anymore, many I had forgotten about. Either that or I'm constantly in the wrong threads.
Mr = Man
44 = Rhett Warrener's number
kajz = attempt to capture the first half of the word casual, as is 'cas' but not sounding dumb like cas. Thought it was cool in 8th grade and I never looked back
Can you change your screen name though? I like the one I use now
