Default Red Dead Redemption $19.83 at Walmart July 15-21st.

Sorry, I know this can probably fit in other threads, but this game seems to be especially popular on this forum.

Excellent price for a fantastic game for anyone who hasn't played it yet.

That is a pretty good price, I may have to add it to the collection. There are a few good sales going on right now, I just picked up AC: Brotherhood at EB for $20. (new not used)

Yup, I rented it once, but didn't really get into it. Will definitely pick up at that price.

Thanks for the info, I've been waiting to get this, its been at $39.99 for quite awhile. I had a copy and traded it in for Madden last year...what a mistake.

Best game of 2010. Definite pick up for those who have yet to play it. Did so many things right that I thought GTA IV did wrong. Can't wait for the sequel (prequel?) to come out.

Is there something planned?

Thanks for the heads up, I'll definitely pick it up.

Aside for a few must haves this is the way I like to buy my PS3 games. Cheap. You can build quite a library that way.

Yeah GTA IV was such a bust. Especially after the PS2 series was so good.

Nothing yet sadly, but I'd expect a 2013 release date since GTA V will be Rockstar's main game for 2012. Only thing that is in the works right now is a Red Dead feature film.

Agreed that GTA IV was a bust. I have never been able to put my finger on it; I just thought it was sort of "too perfect". It felt like a chore every time I attempted to play it. Hopefully Saints Row 3 can overcome that.

That's a good way of putting it, it DID feel like a chore.

I found a lot of the friend interactions a waste of time too. Why should I have to spend time calling up a buddy and playing a totally crappy bowling or pool game?

I usually just took them to a bar and got them hammered and then throw them in front of traffic.

It also felt like there wasn't a ton of places or things you could do in it, too story driven. One of the best things about the GTA franchise was all the extra stuff you could do, but in this one, stuff like being a taxi driver was taken out. A lot of the places were just copies of each other. There weren't enough options of what you could do or where you could go, even though the area itself was so big. It was just a lot of time driving or walking down endless empty corridors of fake storefronts.

There seemed to be less of everything. Less hidden vehicles, less FUN vehicles, less extra games or side quests, less weapons, less explorable interiors.

Went to Wal Mart and they have already dropped the price of the game. Price behind the glass still said 39, but when the guy rang it through came in at 19.83.

I can't remember loving a game as much as RDR. It was right up my ally, and as close to a perfect game that I have come across.

I love RDR, only thing that mildly bothers me is Marston's raspy Bill Paxton voice. Great story.

If you don't have this game, please do yourself a favour and get it. It's amazing.

For anyone still interested, the game is back in stock at Walmart.ca for PS3:

http://store.walmart.ca/canada-estor...RCH%3Ared+dead

and for XBox 360:

http://store.walmart.ca/canada-estor...RCH%3Ared+dead

Shipping charges were less than a $1.00 for me. So good news for those of use who didn't jump on it fast enough and are too lazy to hunt around for copies at Walmart.

I think I must've put 100 hours into this game (Single and Multiplayer) trying to get the Platinum Trophy. Absolutely amazing game. I absolutely cannot recommend this game enough. $20 is a steal.

Just called Wal-Mart and asked if they had this in stock and the guy said yeah, and the game is still $40. Is this deal only online?

No, I was the Deerfoot Meadows location and they have a huge display for this and they're $19.83 or whatever.
