Characters Messed up in FireFox

So I seem to be having an issue in the latest version of FireFox currently. It just started and I remember having a similar issue before and it had to do with language settings on the system itself.

I can`t enter characters properly. As you can see, the ` is the wrong way. I also can`t use the brackets above the , and . If I use shift and those keys, I get '. Basically the same thing.

This is only happening in FireFox. I can enter the characters properly in Notepad or Word or any other app.

Ctrl-Shift-Alt ( or some combination of the 3) should work.

Do a google search on Turning off french keyboard (or a CP search as I know the question has been asked here before)

You can remove it as an option in control panel dealing with Region and Language, which differs depending on your OS.

edit: Also, if you havent already disabled it, you can use the language toolbar on the taskbar to access the same settings,

But it`s not happening anywhere else. Only when inputting text on this forum for example. I tried Ctrl-Shift.

Try disabling it directly in control panel.

I had this happen when Firefox updated one time, was not happening in Word or anywhere else.

Tools > Options > Content

Change the default font to something else. When it happened to me the default was set to Times New Roman, switching it to Arial solved the issue.

I had the same problem before and just started using Opera instead. Everyone kept talking about the languages, but none of that stuff worked. Good idea on the font thing though...
