For those who've been to Maui, i've been doing to searches but we can't decide on a hotel. Do you remember the Hotel you stayed in? Impressions? Ratings?

thanks

We stayed at the Lahaina (think that's right spelling) for half a week. Not bad, though better for a honey moon I think. Pumped in classical music (with only on or off) and no TV. Except for that it was pretty nice, great location amongst all the action near front street, near nightlife but not right on it, great lanai and comes with breakfast. Better than staying in Kehei in a hotel where everyone goes to bed at 10.00. Kannapali (sp?) is also good for that but pretty expensive. Guess it depends on what you want. A base that you're just staying at and ours would suffice, but if you want the whole hotel thing go for that instead of an Inn, and pay for it. The second one we stayed at was the Bamboola Inn run by a crazy french guy named pierre. He was pretty cool and will take you out sailing and whale watching for free if it works out. Plus he has some equipment for you to use for free. His place is basically a large house with suites bit like a condo. Again though if you want your beds made for you go for a hotel. My two cents. What ever you do do the road to Hanna.

Looking for something simple, and close to the beach (Walking distance) Not too picky, but also don't want to stay in a dump Motel.

I've stayed at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel, right on beach very nice hotel, very Hawaii'n.

Also try some condos. The Whaler is nice also on beach. The Maui Eldorado, is about a 2-5 minute walk to the beach, also in the same area might be a little cheaper.

All the majors Westin, Hyatt, Shearton, Mariott are all on Kaanapali beach.

These hotels and condos are all on Kaanapli beach area which is in west Maui.

The Kapalua area north west Maui and the Kihei (south) area very popular areas.

Have a great time Jordon.

Have some hula pie a KIMO"S in Lahaina.

Aston Maui Kaanapali Villas - we've stayed there twice.

About 10 minutes from Lahaina. Middle of the road but beautiful gardens and setting. Get something on the ground floor so you can just walk out although try and make sure there's a pool or a beach in front of your window.

That's where my family stayed when we visited Hawaii during Christmas.

Very nice place - I highly recommend it. We had a ground level room right in front of the pool. Two minute walk to the ocean. Nice little patio to enjoy the weather.

Might be a little high brow for what you are looking for but the Kapalua Villas is where I would recommend. Spent a week there and it was spectacular! The golf is awesome and they have some great "private" beaches.

Turns out we're not going to Maui. As a first trip to Hawaii we wanted to go to Honolulu, looks fun as hell.

Here's the place we're staying, 7 days, 6 nights + flight for $1200 pp http://www.miramarwaikiki.com/

Now, where is my Flames hawaiian shirt??
