Default Casey Anthony - Guilty, or not guilty?

Is anyone following this trial?

I have watched a special or two on it, and catch tidbits of it on the news when I can. Apparently the defense is getting ready to rest and the jury could have it in their hands by Sunday at the earliest.

If you're unfamiliar: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_Caylee_Anthony

I think she's guilty, not sure if there's any doubt. But wait, there is doubt, because apparently the guy who found her body did so for financial reasons, and Casey's father sexually assaulted her as a child. It's probably the biggest criminal trial going on in the US right now...at least as far as publicity goes.

At the heart of it, her daughter disappeared and she went partying.

The rest is just fog thrown up by the defence.

Guilty.

no doubt that she is guilty, I have a feeling her parents were involved or knew more then they are leading on to knowing. Like I stated she is guilty, but she didn't even get a fair shot at a fair trial. Her only hope is that her lawyer pull a Johny Cochran and gets her off on a glove dont fit deal.

They had an interesting segment on CNN the other night. They showed her while the jury was around and while the jury was away. She was stoic, teary and serious when the jury was around. But wow did her demeanor change when the jury wasn't there.

She was laughing, joking around, even "flirting around" with her lawyers apparently (how they described it.) The report was also fair in mentioning that she's pretty much under a microscope all the time and that one has to expect that she would be coached to act more serious when the jury was around.

Because I happen to think that falsely accusing two men of molesting their daughter/sister is an incredibly disturbing way to try and get your client off. I'm not against defence lawyers, just ones like this.

Yes, I'm jumping to the assumption that they did not in fact molest Casey.

Don't care to be honest. It's so far personally removed from me that I have zero stake and I find the media freakshow aspect of it so distasteful that I try avoid it altogether... I almost hope the verdict is not guilty just so I can watch Nancy Grace's head explode.

Guilty and hot. I followed Casey's prision twitter, but she didn't say anything for two years so I gave up.

Also I love Nancy Grace. Yes, she is sleazy but she is honest about it. Like Maury but with slightly more media cred.

Right, and you have a wealth of information to back this up of course. You do realize that without a reasonable basis for believing that to be true the lawyer would be risking his career, and likely jail time, by using the argument, right?

I don't think Nancy Grace is honest in any way. She reminds me of a younger Kitty Farmer from Donnie Darko. "Sometimes, I doubt your commitment to Sparklemotion."

Pretty convenient that these allegations came out when the daughter is facing the death penalty. Do they not have to provide some sort of evidence to back these very serious allegations?

And regardless, even if she was molested, it doesn't excuse killing your daughter.
