Wanted: September 1st place to Rent in Central Edmonton
Good morning all,
If anyone has a lead on a nice place to rent in central Edmonton please send me a private message. My friends in the city live on Sask. D, so ideally I would be looking in that area, or just north of the river.
To give you a little background information about me, I am a recently graduated mechanical engineer from the University of Alberta and just switched careers and am now working for a pipeline company in town. I was planing on buying a place in the fall, and some family friends had a place available to rent for the summer months only, so I took them up on it. Due to the likelihood of my me relocating in 2 years, I have since decided not to buy a place. My girlfriend is in the University of Calgary medical program, and will be starting her residence in June of 2013. It is extremely hard to predict which city she will end up in and I will be following her at this time to whatever city she goes to.
I have very good credit for my age, I am a non-smoker, I have no pets, and I take care of the place I live in. I generally don't complain to my landlords unless there is something very terribly wrong with my apartment and try to fix most things myself (good training for my future home). I would have no roomates (other then the occasional weekend trip up from Calgary for my girl friend, but she is terribly busy with class).
I can be openly honest and say since I have a fair amount of time before I will need a place (September 1), I am indeed shopping around, trying to find a nice place below market value. I hope my personal attributes might bring something to the table. Saying this, if a place/landlord is a good match for me, I would love to commit to a place sooner and have one less thing to worry about.
Thank you for any information!
Kavy
