JOB OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Major Maintenance Manager, the Major Maintenance Lead will be accountable for leading a team of coordinators and managing their activities within Energy and Utilities.
KEY ACCOUNTIBILITIES- Responsible for the execution of planned and unplanned maintenance on Coke and Gas fired boilers, steam turbines and the flue gas desulphurization plant in a safe, efficient and cost effective way
- Responsible for several maintenance programs to repair and upgrade the plant facilities
- Provide day to day direction, leadership and mentorship to a diverse work-group consisting of 5 to 25 coordinators both employees and contractors
- Ensure all policies and standards including legislated requirements are adhered to
- Ensure that the mechanical integrity of the assets, safety of the people and the environment is complied with
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:- Must be a Mechanical Technologist, Engineer or possess a valid Red Seal Trade Certification
- Five to fifteen years petroleum industry experience
- Strong Project Management background and experience with Coke and Gas fired Boilers, Pressure Vessels, and Turbines is preferred
- Leadership experience in a unionized environment
- Experience with managing contract personnel
Skills and Knowledge:- Strong interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills to lead a dynamic organization
- Knowledge of industry safety requirements and best practices
- Knowledge of equipment reliability principles, standards and practices
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Self starter and highly motivated individual who can work well in a team environment
- Strong knowledge and understanding of maintenance management methodologies
- Strong computer skills with demonstrated SAP Skills
