From Yahoo News:
"Abu Farraj al-Libbi... a senior al-Qaida leader, described by U.S. counterterrorism officials as the group's No. 3 man and a close confidant of Osama bin Laden, has been arrested after a firefight in northwestern Pakistan"
"Al-Libbi was the No. 3 al-Qaida figure behind bin Laden and his deputy, Ayman al-Zawahri. Al-Libbi assumed more authority within al-Qaida after the March 2003 arrest of Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, the official said, adding that al-Libbi is believed responsible for planning attacks around the world, including in the United States."
What is the deal with evil terrorist masterminds these days?
I mean they go around engouraging others to fight to the death for their beliefs, to give their lives to Allah, to become glorious martyrs for the cause, etc., but when the shinguard hits the fan in their general vicinity they lay down their guns and surrender.
At least Hitler had the crazy-balls to off himself rather than face capture.

simple really...so they can continue spewing their hatred from behind bars...and then when their operatives kidnap a wealthy US oilman use it as an opportunity to release them again.

Yep, when it comes to your own life, the mantra of "live to fight another day" obviously comes into play.
Still happy he was caught.

You've got to be joking. I'm going to assume you're joking.

Nothing new. During Vietnam the song 'Senator's Son' was the same point, the poor, regular joes do the dying, the elite wield the power. It's the same all over. So's the rhetoric.

The biggest coward of all has to be Saddam. His sons go down in a blaze of glory, vowing to never be taken alive.
Their dad gets pulled out of a hole in the ground, hands raised in the air.
