Default Any Flight Simmers in Calgary?

I was wondering if anyone else is a VATSIM or Virtual Airline member here in Calgary. I'm a member of Delta Virtual but there's only 1 other guy up in Edmonton and thats almost it for western Canada, all the other guys are from the states and keep cracking Canada jokes lol.

I sometime fly Flames charter flights for fun in a modded 737, though the flames usually fly AC JetZ.

I did the almost all the detailing besides the Calgary Flames logo at the front of the plane.

But seriously, if there are any simmer on VATSIM in Calgary I'd be up for some flying, plus there are some huge VATSIM events coming up too.

You got to change that model and get some winglets on that 737 and have them painted up too.

This is a 738, So I would need a 737-7 for the winglets, so a model change would yes be in order.

That is very cool looking, awesome paint job.

That looks like a -700 though, only 1 overwing exit--the -800's have 2.

Here's one a friend of mine did quite a while back as you can tell from the logo. I really liked this one while I had FS2002.

Nope sorry, got confused, it is neither a 737 or 738, its a 736. Sorry, made it a few years back and went into my hard drive to look for the file.

I tried VATSIM and found myself in over my head. I do enjoy X-Plane though, and highly recommend the Canadian Rockies and Inside Passage scenery add-ons, which add tons of detail for western Canadian airports and towns:

I play FS-X and really enjoy it. I haven't quite graduated to VATSIM though......perhaps I'll take a crack at ATC.

BTW - That is an AWESOME job on the plane. Really great!

You aint flying until you get VATSIM! Its such an amazing environment, there are so many people, and even our own airport has at least 3 ATC commands online during the day. Virtual airlines give you even more of a purpose to fly.

And thanks! I did the paint job using DXTbmp and Photoshop CS3

VATSIM...first time I punched in, I accidentally started on the active runway, got reprimanded for it, and realized I didn't really know how to use my radio, so all I could do was listen and feel shame.

I need to try and get back into it though.

Ahh yes, the runway starters. You must of did it in a busy airport like KJFK or KLAX. But it happens to all of us.

I'm scared to link this to my brother, he's a pilot, stopped short of his commercial license because he became a helicopter pilot. He's such a nerd for aviation, I wonder if this would be something he'd love.

I can assure you that he will love it. A good majority of the pilots on our roster are actual pilots flying for Delta, American, United and we have got some heli pilot flying for the military too. A lot of them say they are really getting more of a kick from virtual flying then they are from the real deal.

If you do decide to tell him about it, make sure you tell him to join Delta Virtual Airlines: www.deltava.org. The biggest and most respected virtual airline around.
