Default Bon Iver - Calgary

Don't click if you don't like the mellow synth vibe.

No idea who they are or why the song is called Calgary. Anybody know?

I don't have a clue why this song is called Calgary.

You had me all excited by the title though, I thought you were going tell me Bon Iver was coming to Calgary.

I was going to guess it had something to do with the area of Scotland which Calgary (AB) was named after.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calgary,_Mull

The pic on the vid, looks a lot more like Scotland than Texas, and the sound kinda lends itself to a foggy sort of dreamscape. Course the pic is from any fan and could be anything.

But if people know this band and say it's named after Calgary Texas, they are probably right. The band is from the states. It was just a guess after reading the OP's post.

It's a decent enough song but I liked their earlier stuff like Living On A Prayer.

and......Bon ton meat market is in Calgary.

Therefore, the only logical explanation is Ric Mciver is butchering hobos, and selling them at the Bon Ton meat market as ground Chuck.

Lost my virginity to "Bed of Roses" in a trailer park in High River.... actually made it all the way to the first chorus. Great band that Bon Iver.

Rather than start a new thread, I thought I'd just post in here; there's a tent named after Calgary:

Wow!
