Default Recommend a wireless router

Creating this to not hijack Titan's wireless router thread. I have a D-Link Dir 655 and it has been giving me no end of grief. I have decided to bite the bullet and spend the money to get something more stable.

My home "network" consists of 1 Mac, 1 Windows (laptop), iPad and iPhones, a Western Digital NAS and a printer which needs to connect via a wireless connection.

Any recommendations?

I would try getting a firmware upgrade to the Dir-655 first. We have one of those at work, and it was causing some problems but we upgraded firmware and it has been awesome since. That said, it seems like every d-link device we buy is a short lived purchase.

If that doesnt work, then I would be looking at a Linksys E Series with Dual band. The 3200 and 4200 models have gigabit ports and support USB network drives, the 2500 is only 10/100 if you dont need those speed. The 4200 actually has a built in media server, although I dont know how that works.

Second vote for the Netgear WNDR3700.
Have a Buffalo WZR-HP-AG300H that works quite well too.

Small net builder has a lot of reviews for routers and networking products, you can look here:

A third for the Netgear WNDR3700 (aka N600). I have one and I love it. I flashed it with DD-WRT and it's been spectacular.

Another one that gets great reviews is the Asus RT-N56U. Apparently it's slightly better than the WNDR3700.

I also have the WNDR3700, and have never had a problem with it.
