Perfect spot for him. Brady seems to never get hurt and plays steady so Flutie will never have to get off the bench and can bring in a few more buks doing nothing.

Although this is one place he won't be able to try and backstab the starter. I doubt that Belichek will put him in over Brady.

Backstab the starter? Not his fault that he's been behind some losers (Johnson in Buffalo).

Flutie seemed quite content in San Diego, helped Brees develop into a pretty decent QB.

Flutie is a Boston boy and will enojoy another year on the sidelines I'm sure.

I hope for some reason or another that he gets to play in a meaningful game @ Foxboro. The crowd will go NUTS.

I dont know if he will even be the second string, Rohan Davey has been there for a few years now and has only taken a few snaps since Brady cam in, I think Flutie will be fighting for that number two spot

Yeah, this is a good place for Flutie to end his career. At this age his days of playing are all but gone. Still he can come in and mop up a few games if need be for the Pats. Plus he'll get a great shot at winning a Superbowl ring there. If I was an NFL player getting on in years, I'd happilly take less money to go to New England and play a backup role for a team that knows how to win, and do everything I could to ensure that they do win again.

I think that it would depend on the situation. I could see them using Davey in a mop up roll when the game was out of hand and the team wanted to give him some NFL experience. If Brady got injured in a close game I could see them using Flutie based on his experience and ability to go in and possibly win the game with little preperation.

Good point, I never thought of it that way, I could totally see Flutie gettin a couple of starts over Davey if TB got injured
