Default Fence Repair Referral

I've got a property where some of the fence posts are soft/rotted. Most of the boards are still in good shape, so we're looking to have the posts and a few boards replaced.

Any referrals for someone who'll do a good job for a good price?

Me and power tools don't get along too well, I'm pretty sure I'd lop off an arm with a circular saw.

You can probably save a few bucks by getting the material you need from Home Depot or wherever....saves you from having to pay the repair guy to go get it.

I did a similar thing last year. I figured less than 50% of the boards needed replacing. I got 5 quotes and found it in my best interest to get a small contractor to do the work. He built 3 or 4 fences in our community last year and did a really great job. He was the second cheapest quote I got (I always throw out the top and bottom bids). I can't remember his company name but I still have his name and number if you are interested.

I would recommend replacing the entire fence though. I certainly wish I had gone that route. I look at my fence now and half of it looks great and then you see a board or two that look like crap. I also know that I am going to have to do another repair job in a year or two when the rest of the boards go. Just a waste of time and probably will end up costing me more in the long run.
