Default Keep winter tires on?

We have two cars and a motorcycle. Our second car has winter tires on now and I have to decide if I'll keep them on over the summer. It costs me $77 to have my summer rims put on and the same to put the winter rims on again. This car is hardly driven in summer as we mostly drive the other one. Is it harmful if I keep the winter rims on the second car, as we may only put 1,000 km on it over the summer? We almost always drive the first car or I drive the motorcycle.

Nope, not harmful. Winter tires will wear faster in warmer temperatures, but if you don't drive much it will be negligible.

I used my KW19's throughout a winter and the following summer (about 20k km's) and still had 2 winters left on the treads going into fall.

Depends on the tire though.
