For the playoffs we are starting a pro-line and props format of betting system for people interested.
Here is how it breaks down:
- Each GM starts with $200 of virtual money.
- Each GM can place bets on a combination of pro-line and props (minimum 3) each day before the games.
- Joe will take care posting the odds each night.
- MAX bet of $20 per day
- You can pick a combo of each (2 props, 1 pro-line) (3 pro lines, no props) etc.
- GMs must place a minimum of 10 bets for them to qualify for the prize
- Once you are finished with your $200, you are sadly out.
For those not familiar with these betting systems here is how it works:
PRO-LINE:
Each GM will place a minimum of 3 bets (combo of pro-line and props if you want) where the odds, number of bets, and dollar amount will factor into your potential winnings.
EXAMPLE:
PHI (1.3) vs WAS (3.2)
COL (1.8) vs PHO (2.8)
STL (1.5) vs
CLB (2.7)
I place a $20 bet
Odds total: 5.8
# of picks: 3
1.3 * 1.8 * 2.7 * 20 = 126.36
PROPS:
Similar to above (same formula) but this time we pick players. Whoever gets more points in that game wins.
Example:
Jeff Carter (2.2) vs
Tomas Flieshmann (2.2) vs Tie (3.3)
Chris Drury (2.1) vs TJ Oshie (2.4) vs Tie (3.3)
David Perron (1.8) vs Ales Hemsky (2.0) vs Tie (3.3)
$20 bet
Odds total: 6.1
# of picks: 3
2.2 * 2.1 * 1.8 * 20 = $116.32
Here is for formula:
Odds on 1st pick * Odds on 2nd pick * Odds on 3rd pick, etc. * wager
The Catch:
You must correctly pick all 3, 1 incorrect results in a loss of "money".
PRIZE:
1st - 1.5 million
2nd - 750K
3rd - 500K
