Rangers are gonna hate these results.

Flames start on the road up in the chuk.

With an Islanders win and a Ranger loss the Islanders end up in 6th place and have date with the Thrashers in the 1st round. After losing 3 starting players in the last few games and having to scramble to replace them we made it without losing another player today. Michael Ryder tallied 2 assists in his debut. Hopefully he can keep his hot streak going in the playoffs as he as put up 6 Goals and 6 Assists in his last 7 games. It may have been a bold move to start Conklin in a game with a position on the line but Lundqvist needed the break and it paid off with Ty finishing the season with a 7-2-1 record .914 SV Pct and a 2.68 GAA.

Leafs finish the season off on a winning note.
Leafs won earlier in the month to mathematically knock out the wild and we win again, maybe this team loves playing against the wild?

Off to clean out the lockers and pack our bags and bring out our golf clubs

Thank Clapton that the year of hell is finally over

total embarrassing year and the only satisfaction I can draw from this season is that I don't own my 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th round picks in the draft. Its the first time I don;t own my picks and its a good thing it ended up tat way

I can't wait for this season to be over as well. Next year, all of Toronto, Florida, and Carolina will be in the top ten in the east.

Sabres 3 objectives for tonight
1. stay healthy. check
2. gain at least one point to secure home ice advantage. fail
3. be competitive against the Bruins, their first round opponent. epic fail

9-1?? Brutal. Brad Richardson tears the Sabres apart with 6 assists as the Sabres manage 1 flimsy goal past James Reimer

terrible, just terrible. Sabres will have to figure out some combinations that work as they face the Bruins in round 1 and look to be in tough without 2 of their regular D

Swept by the Leafs in back to back games to wrap up the year. Sounds about right.

Well, that is something else. I sat a bunch of guys or lowered their ice time. That meant my potential new first line of Richardson - Sim - Artyukhin combined for 14 points. Artyukhin had 4 goals (which turned out to be a 1/3rd of his goal production all year) and first star. Also of note, I brought up James Reimer for the first time this year and he did pretty well - 33 saves from 34 shots - (0.971).

I'd like to think this is the type or result we can expect in our first round against the Sabres but I know it won't be this easy. Looking forward to it, should be a good series.
