Default Lost dog in Queensland

A buddy of mine's dog went missing. He's a big, handsome, golden retriever. Answers to "Bandit." They live right along Queensland Dr, just past the liquor store and 7-11.

Probably not an issue with a golden retriever, but if someone does find this dog make sure that you approach him properly, because he may be scared or fearful, since he is not in his own territory.

A generic approach from http://www.citizencanine.org/safety.htm

How to Meet A Dog

Never approach a strange dog without permission from the owner.
Approach a dog slowly with the back of the hand extended.
Curl your fingers and allow the dog to sniff.
Stroke the dog gently on the chest or shoulder, or under the chin.
Do not pat the dog on the top of the head.
Avoid approaching dogs that are sleeping or eating.
Stand still like a fence post if approached by a strange dog; do not squeal or jump, or wave your arms.
Avoid making direct eye contact with the dog, as this may be interpreted as an act of aggression.

Some of these tips work when being approached by a Canucks fan without a leash on.

Whew...it's Queensland drive...I thought I was gonna have to search the whole state. That's nearly 22% of Australia!

Hope the pup turns up. Love dogs...hate 99% of their owners. Dog owners are like drivers, everyone thinks they're above average.

From my buddy: "Home safe. Bandit decided to go play down by Bow Bottom Tr and the city didn't approve of his shenanigans so they locked his ass up."

Probably headed for Cowperson's place. That's a Golden Retriever paradise.
