Default camping

I tried searching and couldnt find any camping threads on the first two pages so im starting a new one!

Does anybody know any good camping sites around banff? Usually I just go to Two Jack Lakeside.

I'm looking for a campsite that has a shower and a firepit at least!

any recommendations??

Tunnel Mountain is decent, and basically in town.

Check out http://albertawow.com/

I am not affiliated with the site, but they do a good job of maps, photo's and reviews of many Alberta campgrounds.

Showers? That's not camping. Live in your filth! If you dont come back smelling like smoke and beer, then you're doing it wrong.

I bought an old Ford Exploder for camping and the goddamn thing exploded one week before I was going to go camping!

You should buy a cheap trailer (like under $1000) since you have a truck to pull it with already.

I've been thinking that as well. The thing I like about the SUV is 4x4ing up remote trails and camping in the bush. But maybe it's time to get a trailer instead.

And if you wake out passed out by the fire with your pants around your ankles and a 5 dollar bill safety pinned to your shirt, you're camping with the wrong people.

If I go to one of the first come first serve campgrounds (ie. Two Jack, or Johnston Canyon) to get one or two sites for the July 1st long weekend, how quickly do they fill up?
If I go out Friday morning will it already be full for the weekend?

Why go through the hassle of packing all that stuff? We can just meet at the Canmore rest area.

I'm not so sure it's so much the thread "changing topic", as your unhealthy fascination with male-on-male love, what with this and the prison retirement fantasy...

I might as well ask in here?

Do any have any recommendation for multiday hikes - I am thinking 15km+ a day type hikes where you hike in, camp, hike, camp, hike out etc.

Thank you.
