No inquires about Huet, surely not every team is that confident about their backup playing a 7th game. Will only cost you a pick in 2012... Look at it this way, you're buying a suitcase of cash for rock bottom prices and I'll throw in a goalie for free

Improves the backup position quite a lot this year. Toskala has sucked recently, which has led to overplaying Thomas and wearing him out. Huet gives the Caps a legitimate 1b guy in the cphl.

Be careful with the 1A-1B situation. Three teams tried it this year and three teams struggled doing it.

I struggled with Nabby and Halak.
Flyers struggled with Ward and Quick.
Penguins struggled with Nabby and Price and then Halak and Price

In my situation it was the backup who really sucked. Early in the year when I had Halak at my #1, he was excellent and put up great numbers. But now as a backup with a better rated goalie ahead of him he STINKS!

I have now dumped Nabby so we will see if Halak can step it up again and the legit #1 in Columbus.

Clearly the Hurricanes will need some major reconstructive surgery in the offseason and not owning our 1st overall pick in this years draft hurts the franchise even more.

With Phase Two the Hurricanes will start addressing it's prospect pool and numerous draft picks for the next two seasons. Very much like what happened at the CPHL team the 'Canes plan to clean house in the AHL and EChL level

Clearly no where near a competitive team to try and cpm[ete for a playoff spot next year as it lacks any goaktenders or two top 6 right wingers. But an extramily young core with tons of upside with still prospects and picks to help build around... plus the 25M plus salary that was shed-ed for next season
