I dont believe we have one of these.
I know we have Stampeders game day threads, but this could be used to discuss other happenings involving the Stampeders and other CFL teams.

TORONTO -- The Toronto Argonauts Football Club today re-signed free agent import DB Dwaine Carpenter.
Carpenter first signed with Toronto on May 26, 2010 and attended the club’s training camp. He dressed in the Argos’ home pre-season victory over Hamilton and was released on June 17, 2010.
After four seasons in the NFL with the San Francisco 49ers and the St. Louis Rams, Carpenter joined the Stampeders in 2007. He dressed in 50 games with the club and recorded 119 tackles, 44 special-teams tackles, two sacks, two interceptions, four forced fumbles and eight fumble recoveries in three seasons for Calgary, winning a Grey Cup with them in 2008 when he had a remarkable 4 DT and 1 PKD outing in Montreal.
The Argonauts likely will be without a key member of their defence on Friday night in Winnipeg.
Free safety Willie Pile suffered a knuckle injury in the season opener against Calgary and met with a surgeon on Monday. The Argos re-signed defensive back Dwaine Carpenter, who was cut during camp, and Carpenter practised in Pile's place.
“We had Dwaine here long enough so he knows what we’re is doing, so he will be able to step in and play that spot,” Argos head coach Jim Barker said. “We are going under the assumption Willie will not be playing (against the Blue Bombers).”
Carpenter, who spent the past three seasons with the Stampeders, received a call from Barker on Saturday morning at his home in Atlanta.
“Coach Barker asked me if I was available, and I said ‘Yeah, when do you need me?’” Carpenter said. “He said Sunday, asked me if I was ready to go. I had not even unpacked yet.
“The next couple of days is going to be a cram session as far as watching film. Getting back to game tempo is the only adjustment.”
Pile’s backup, Jeremy Unertl, suffered a hamstring injury against Calgary and also is out. Pile talked to reporters after the game against Calgary and did not indicate he was hurt. The injury was not enough to knock Pile out of that game, a 30-16 Argos loss.
The Argos will have defensive tackle Adriano Belli in the lineup versus the Bombers. Belli was suspended by the CFL for the first game for transgressions that occurred during the 2009 season.

Meanwhile, the Bombers have lost DB Keyuo Craver for a while after it was announced he has a torn ACL and he has been placed on the nine-game injured list. The club will look at bringing in another defensive back for depth, but does get Clint Kent back from the one-game injured list this week. The Bomber staff will also have a couple other roster decisions to make as receiver Jabari Arthur and O-lineman Ryan Donnelly have resumed practicing and are also scheduled to come off the one-game injured list.
Worth noting: LaPolice has added defensive ends Phillip Hunt and Odell Willis to the long field-goal attempt team in order to have more speed on the field in case of a miss. The Bombers gave up a 118-yard touchdown to Hamilton’s Marcus Thigpen on Alexis Serna’s 49-yard field-goal attempt that sailed wide.

he prognosis on Peach is fuzzy. Whether or not the Edmonton Eskimos will have defensive end Greg Peach in the lineup this week against the Montreal Alouettes remains to be seen.
He did not participate in the team rundown Monday at Commonwealth Stadium after leaving last Sunday’s game against the B.C. Lions at the end of the first quarter.
Peach was injured after getting deked out by Lions running back Jamal Robertson, who made the defensive end miss a tackle with a lateral move before chewing up 44 yards and getting into Eskimos territory.
On the following play, Peach went down after Casey Printers threw an incomplete pass to Robertson.
“I know they went in for X-rays and everything but as far as the extent of the injury or how long he might be out, I’m unsure,” Hall said.
“It’s kind of around the ankle area. That’s about all I can tell you right now.”
If Peach is unable to play this week, rookie defensive lineman Kenneth Pettway will get the start against Montreal.
The loss of Peach was another blow to an already depleted defensive line that missed its leader, Dario Romero, who sat out Sunday with an injured ankle and is questionable for this week.
The offensive line was without its play caller as centre Aaron Fiacconi was shelved with a leg injury.
“We’d like to have both of them, I think the chances of having both of them might be slim,” said Hall, adding he will know more by Wednesday.
Eskimos slotback Kelly Campbell left with back spasms late in his first game back since 2008.
“I’m a little sore right now, it’s a little painful but it’s nothing I should miss any time from. It’s just something I’ve got to work through,” said Campbell. “I’ve got to get back used to it because it’s definitely a different climate up here than it is down south.”

EDMONTON — With their defensive backfield already full, the Edmonton Eskimos released import defensive back Randee Drew on Tuesday.
Drew wasn’t on the team’s opening day roster last Sunday but on the injured list after suffering a shoulder injury at the beginning of training camp.
He joined the club last September as a free agent, starting six games, recording 16 defensive tackles and one pass knock-down.
He also started the Western semifinal and recorded six defensive tackles.
The Eskimos host the Montreal Alouettes on Sunday at 5 p.m.
Looks like NFL Network showed a good game on Canada Day. I am sure some of those viewers were wondering what is the joke about the 13th man for the Riders. Wow, pretty luck for them to win after that damn penalty again. When are they going to learn?
BC Lions just thumped the Eskimos on their turf. Ricky Ray looks like a rookie QB there dodging from the DLine. Lions D were awesome all night while QB Printer were good enough.
Yeah I saw that posted on the bomber fan site a few days ago. That's gotta be section S (student section). I watched a game or 2 from there years ago - insane.
