iPhone Swapping

My wife would like the 32GB iPhone and my brother would like the iPhone she currently has (16GB). Apparently Telus has told them that they cannot switch phones because my wife is not done her contract?

I don't get it, why can't he buy the 32GB and then they switch? They are both with Telus?

Can she not just upgrade to the newer phone and then give him the phone. I am in the states and I buy the new iphone everytime they come out. Then I just sell the old one ...

Telus = ######s. Yes, you can absolutely do that. There will just be a small phone activation fee.

At that time they are going to be in different countries for another 2 months.

I'm not sure with Telus, but you might have to register it online... but that should be near instantaneous. I just did that with my Blackberry with Bell and Telus and Bell have similar systems I think.

Have you tried calling Telus rather than going into the store? I find the people you deal with in the stores quite dimwitted.
