Default Stampede Suggestions for Thursday

Looking to come to Calgary tomorrow to take a few people out for some Stampede fun.
Going to meet near The Bow and start with lunch somewhere.

Our default plan will be to grab a long lunch somewhere and then head to the Cowboys tent for beer then see what happens.

Any recommendations for a spot to grab lunch or anything to do in the afternoon? I don't mind spending a few bucks for a good time but am unprepared and don't have any reservations of tickets. We are happy to go early for lunch as required.

Does the chicken on the way basement open during the day or is it more of an evening thing?
Thanks

Kip Moore plays the cowboys tent tomorrow night. So they likely close and clear out around 4 or 5 I imagine. Something to keep in mind.

Wildhorse is a good time and is right downtown.

For lunch, keeping with the Stampede theme, staying downtown, and not breaking the bank- I'd recommend The Palomino.

Do you need a ticket at Wildhorse or can you walk in/queue in the afternoon?

You can just walk in. $20 cover.

The new beer area in on the top floor of the big 4 is pretty awesome. No lineup when I went, a great band, and a way better beer selection than anywhere else on the grounds.
