Just wondering for those that have gone, what do you think of Buffet's AGM? Besides the Q&A (which I believe is transcribed?) is it worth it? I'm trying to decide whether I want to go this year or not.

I've never been but that is something that would probably be really interesting.

I've gone the last three years (as you know). I think its awesome! That being said its really not for everyone. Even some of the guys I've gone down there with aren't as impressed as me and they work in the business.

Feel free to ask any specific questions you are wondering about.

What is the cost, and what do you get out of it?

Well the cost is sort of hard to define. Its in Omaha, NE (which is annoying to get to from Calgary!). So theres the travel and lodgings etc while you're there. The actual cost to get in is free for shareholders and you just need a pass. I spent some money every year as there are deals through the businesses owned by Berkshire that weekend.

I got a huge amount out of it the first year and to be fair probably less in the second and third year. I guess the best way to explain that is going to the Stampede every year. The first year its all new and there is a lot to take in. By the third year its just not as new and while I still found it worthwhile and excellent for my professional reasons, its just not as impactful.

Sure, lots!

- How much learning did you get out of it?
- What kind of learning did you get, besides Buffet's Q&A?
- What advantages do you see in going there?
- What deals have you got in on? I looked through the itinerary, not sure what I can get out of it so far besides maybe seeing if GEICO will lower my insurance.
- How is the networking like? (i.e. I hear at TED talks, everyone wants to meet everyone)
- For those unimpressed, what let them down?
- What is your fav part?
