I've always wanted to change the washed out look of the buttons and images.. not sure if these ones are too strong though (and there's a few that weren't in the new set, so I'd have to make them myself).
Thoughts? Like the old washed out look better?
EDIT: Oh, and I changed it so instead of useless info like member # on the left, it now displays your loction (or displays Nosebleeds if you have no location set in your profile).

Obviously for those of us who live on here at work, the new spicy buttons don't help our cause.
However ... they do look good.

Kudos on adding the location, I wanted that since this version of the board was introduced.

I love the new buttons. And I like the idea of knowing where people are, but I also like to see membership number - it tells me who has been around the longest.

Heh, actually I was doing some file organization on my computer last night and came across a dir of php files.. After looking at them for a few minutes I remembered what they they were for. To make it so we could see the location on the forums! I had totally forgotten!
So I finished them up and uploaded them. Hehe..

I still want 'Visited links' showing up as a different color. Any chance of changing it to like a shade of grey or something.
it should just be a simple value in the CSS file for the site.

Heh, you'd think... the CSS files for the site are a New York rat's nest. I'll see what I can find though.
Do you mean links in posts ( http://www.google.ca ), or the links to posts and forums and such?

on form posts, and such. the Thread Title links on the main form page.
Honestly, as a developer, it shouldn't matter. They SHOULD be all controled with the same value in the 'New-Yorks-Rat-Nest' CSS files.

Yeah, it's just going through and finding which one it is. I took a look and it's actually not as bad as I thought it was.
The forum software already does that sort of thing though, the message graphics in the topic view and the red dots on the forum view let you know which ones have new posts in them. You can even click the red pip in front of the topic title and it'll take you to the first new post since you last read the thread. And if you click the red buttons on the forum display it will mark all the items in the forum as read.
So having the links change colour when clicked on would be kind of redundant, plus the link colour wouldn't change back when the thread had new posts in it. So you'd look at a thread and know you've looked at it already, but there's new posts in it. Plus I don't think it would look very nice.
