I don't know how many of you have seen this or watched it.
But when my cable was down I stumbled on this.
Basically it was a fan made Star Trek movie called of Gods and Men, what made it really unique were the number of Star Trek actors from Next Generation, the Original Series, DS9 and Voyager were on it.
It was made and released for free to thank the fans for 40 years of history.
The special effects and production values are a little rough.
But it was especially nice to see Checkov and Uhura playing their roles once again. Its broken down into 10 parts on youtube each about 10 minutes long
Some of the fan stuff is actually quite good. The fan made episodes of Star Trek, phase 2 are really cool. The production values rival some of the TOS episodes. The 60's bridge mockup is almost identical. The one with George Takei is particularily good. This is not what you would expect from a fan production.... well worth a look if you haven't seen it before.
I hope that this isn't derailing the thread too much, but I thought nerd (in the nice way) + fan film... and remembered this, my favourite fan film I've ever seen.
