Default Aeroplan Coast Plaza Hotels Ad

Just wanted to bring this annoying ad to your attention. I've seen this banner ad pop up sparingly in the last week or so. It causes some sort of weird popover thing below the banner that disappears after a few seconds. In the meantime, it covers up what you're trying to read and is in a perfect place to accidentally get clicked.

I know CP has to make its nut but this is the kind of ad that would be more at home on the Calgary Herald webpage.

I used to tolerate them but now at work I am on a new machine and every 10 minutes the security popped up warning of hazardous sites, had to add the ad blocker

I'm not entirely sure how these things work, but don't you have to click on the ad too? I've done that a handful of times on sites that I like just in case a click was necessary. However, ads like the one that prompted this thread which basically try to trick you into clicking them are lame.
