Default Joe Paterno Passes Away

For an icon of the sport, I truly wish his last months could have been happier.

RIP

I don't think the children that where raped have been too happy, so I don't believe this guy should be happy either. After reading his interview, he should have been jailed too. It's not a car accident where someone will follow up on it, this was rape happening right in front of you. No sympathy for him.

As with PeteLFan, I hope his legacy is that he enabled a child rapist. His accomplishments as a football coach are worthless as a result.

When I hear Penn State or Joe Paterno, my first thoughts are about harbouring a pedophile.

THat will be his legacy in my mind. Others might find it different, but that is what it will be in mine.

May he rest in peace, now that he has passed.
Do you think Sandusky shows up at the funeral?

Really eerie the very similarities between Bear Bryant's and Joe Paterno's death

RIP Joe.

I mentioned this in the Off-Topic thread, but Paterno deserves a special place in hell for his role in the whole Penn State scandal.

ESPN has a "legacy untainted" article up of course. Which is obviously total bull####, Paterno will never be mentioned again without this being in peoples minds.

I thought it was a good read. It's an editorial so agree or disagree

Iconic NCAA coach incredible record and all the stastics he earned, but the inexcusable scandal has to be considered into Joe Pa's legacy.

I'm glad! Also glad his image was tarnished before he died. That way I know he suffered mentally and physically towards the end to his life.
