I've got a sonic birdhouse you can use. It should do the trick.
http://www.itchmo.com/dog-product-re...ird-house-3449
PM me if you want it, it takes 9V batteries and it's harmless to the dogs, but it works pretty good inside or outside. It won't cut down the barking 100% of the time, but it really helps.

Was thinking of making a thread like this as well. My new neighbors let their dogs outside during the night and they bark constantly into the morning.
I've told them my family can't sleep and admittidely it has gotten better as she lets them sleep inside sometimes, but I still get the odd night where she lets them out and they are a nuisance.

Are you also annoyed that you aren't allowed to take a dump in the middle of the park?

Silver, what's your position on bears? Should we exterminate them all?

Thanks I appreciate that. We actually have something quite similar, but the dogs don't seem phased at all by it. There are also some well-behaved dogs in the immediate vicinity I'm hesitant to torment for the sins of the neighbour so I use it sparingly. Maybe I should leave it plugged in all the time to properly train them?

We shut up our dog immediately. Our neighbours on the other hand are fricking idiots and will let them bark for hours.

I used to leave this on all the time, because I was one of those people with a constantly barking dog. I may get flamed for this, but I even had to use a shock collar, which is what really fixed his barking while I was at work.

Black, and I think the raw root variety. I've never done it, but I've heard it works.

My neighbour is taking care of her daughters chocolate lab. I swear I have never heard the dog bark in the last 2 weeks. He lays on deck in the evenings watching people go down the green strip behind the house but never makes a noise. I pay him a visit everynight and he jumps up and wags his tail yet makes no noise. I have never encountered a lab that is so quiet.
As for Slivers problem..... Give that dog a big rawhide chew. That'll keep the dog quiet for awhile.

A guy I used to work with tried to use shock collars on his dogs.
He ended up having to stop using them because one of the dogs had thick fur that insulated her from the collar. Since it barely felt anything it just kept barking which would set off the other dog's collar who had already stopped barking days before.
So basically the dog who was feeling the shocks was holed up in the corner of the room while the other dog continued to shock him unknowingly.

I'm in the 5-10 barks category and it drives me mental. I *hate* dogs that bark so when mine goes over 3 barks I start getting anxiety about how my neighbours are taking it. The problem is I've found giving any attention to it makes it worse, so I try to ignore it best I can, but it just makes it slightly better.

I know some of you are joking, but please don't hurt the dog. The dog isn't the problem, the owners are.

Yeah I wouldn't. The dog is the problem (there are crappy dogs), but the owners moreso.
