Surprised there isn't one of these up already.
Last time these two played Baltimore just killed the Jays. I mean 8 HRs in 3 games, that's nuts.
So far after 2 looking pretty good, too bad Vernon Wells needs to LEARN HOW TO HIT BALLS THAT ARE RIGHT DOWN THE PLATE.
2-0 Jays....should be more.

jays could've blown the game wide open in the first. they had bases loaded with just one out. but they let'em of the hook.

Lets GO O'S!!
Good start for the Jays, Sosa is a terrible fielder, and what a bad base running play by Chris Gomez, although it was a good throw by Wells.

Menechino totally missed that tag on Gomez. Good thing the umpire didn't catch it.

Huge DP for Jason Frasor, getting Chacing out of trouble after he completely forgot where the strikezone was.
2-2, heading to the 9th. Let's go Jays!

Great job by the Jays' bullpen tonight - I was freaking out in the 11th on the error at 2nd and gave the Orioles bases loaded after the inentional walk...

Gus not only had another great start, he shut down the O's Big guns.

That number has to be alarming to someone.
I mean they left the bases loaded TWICE......

They haven't stopped playing hard and I like that in a team.
And it is fun. 162 games though. No weekends off!
Do you think that the flames are being emulated by other teams?
We've seen it in the Pistons and Roughnecks, maybe the Pats and Red ???
well maybe not the sox,but I digress, any teams in your community?

Not to mention that they had two runners cut down at the plate in the 12th inning. I have no idea how you still score four runs in an inning when you do that.

Jays are a strange team. They seem to have the ability to not play the style of the AL with any sort of semblence. They can get their guys on bases, but barely anyone can get these guys home.
Honestly I'd like to see Gibbons try the Suicide Squeeze once and a while... thats a damned fun play to watch, and we might get a run out of it.

Some of that is just bad luck though: Menchino's second bases-loaded shot was well hit, but went right to the first-baseman. A couple feet either way and it's a two-run RBI. I really like the most agressive base-running the jays have had in the last week or so--stealing third last night, more hit-and-runs...

Game 2 of the series can be seen on TSN right now. 0-0 through 1 inning.

I gotta give props to the toronto pen of late. Against the Yanks the second Lilly was pulled they did not allow a hit or run and last night they battled against arguablly the best offensive team in the league with Frasor going a strong 3 innings.
Vernon has had 2 hits his last two games but he still looks lost out there. If the Jays could take 2 from the hottest team in baseball at there barn..wow that be nice
